It is my pleasure to share the link to this radio interview which lasted about 15 minutes and covered a wide range of issues surrounding the Prigozhin mutiny, what damage it may have caused to Putin’s hold on power and stability in Russia, the effectiveness of the regular Russian Army today, the conspiracy speculations of John Helmer (Dances with Bears), the shortsightedness of University of Chicago professor John Mearsheimer’s latest essay which fails to consider Ukrainian military collapse and capitulation in its playbook of scenarios for the war’s denouement, the level of support for Putin and for the war inside Russia and much more.
The recording opens with seven minutes of overview by the host, James Freeman Wells, a former British Member of the European Parliament from the Brexit party. Then there is a rambling but nonetheless interesting chat with one of his collaborators at TNT Radio who inter alia comments on the Ukraine war. I come on at minute 20.00
My take-away from the interview is delight that the air waves in Britain still remain free for discussions like this however much the anti-Russian mobsters at the BBC and The Financial Times may try to shut down all critical thinking in the country.

L’enregistrement s’ouvre sur sept minutes de présentation générale par l’animateur, James Freeman Wells, un ancien membre britannique du Parlement européen appartenant au parti du Brexit. Il y a ensuite une discussion décousue mais néanmoins intéressante avec l’un de ses collaborateurs de TNT Radio, qui commente notamment la guerre en Ukraine. J’interviens à la minute 20.00
Ce que je retiens de cette interview, c’est le plaisir de voir que les ondes britanniques restent libres pour des discussions comme celle-ci, même si les monstres anti-russes de la BBC et du Financial Times tentent de faire taire toute pensée critique dans le pays.

Gilbert, you clarified a lingering question for me: what’s wrong with the “cheerleaders”. Answer: nothing. But beware because no one is always right. One has to constantly listen and evaluate every side equally and objectively. In the last few minutes you ask the key question IMO: how much punishment can the Ukrainians take? For Ukraine capitulation would be the best option. There could be a declaration of neutrality, disarmament, rejection of all foreign interference, followed by reconstruction. After a period Russia would allow referendums for the status of what remains of Ukraine. And the Collective West could watch at a distance. This last part is the hardest to imagine.
