I am pleased and not a little surprised that day after day this Indian global broadcaster invites my commentary on the Ukraine war when they know very well that my observations are at variance not only with Mainstream, but also at variance with a goodly number of celebrities in the Alternative Media.

I am being very discreet in my remarks in this interview. Allow me to spell out more clearly what my present thinking is: 

  1. President Trump’s engagement with Vladimir Zelensky over sending him Tomahawks is yet again a signal to Vladimir Putin to get the damned war in Ukraine over with now by smashing Kiev to bits. He is saying, in essence that  ‘If you fail to do that and the war drags on, I may be obliged to give the Tomahawks to Kiev to apply further pressure on you.’
  2. Putin’s blasé response to the threat of major escalation by Washington, which dispatch of Tomahawks signifies, regrettably positions him as Gorbachev-2.  Mikhail Gorbachev was played for a fool by his talking partners in the Bush Sr. administration.  No expansion of NATO one inch to the East, etc.   Now Putin is presenting himself as a similar fool by ignoring the ongoing and very damaging Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian refineries and energy infrastructure, all of it guided by US intel, as even the Financial Times details in its latest reporting.  The only dignified response to this American aggression would be for Putin to threaten to declare war on the USA if it continues one more day. Hegseth, Rubio, not to mention Senator Lindsey Graham must all be sniggering over Putin’s lack of cojones. Super weapons such as Russia possesses are no better than the will of leaders to use them in self-defense.

  1. I agree. Kiev needs to hurt a little more COMBINED with making the whole population hurt more. Say in the next 2 weeks? But there are others that say moving too fast may bring Europe and the US in faster. I wouldn’t know which way to bet.

  2. This is, indeed your vision of reality. Putin has another vision. You do not belong to the same culture after all. The Ukrainians are divided roughly in three. One third is definitely pro Russia. The other is definitely against Russia. In the middle you have those who are just waiting and will join the winner’s side. On the other hand you have some two hundred thousand armed members of the Ukrainian army in charge of “recruitment”. Destroy Kiev, win the war and they will be left without a job but with guns. Then what will be the reaction of the anti Russia third who will feel betrayed by their European “sponsors”. How many of them are already in Europe? What will be their reaction? This is an issue you cannot solve by decapitating Ukrainian authorities. Russia does not want to remain in charge of it after winning the way you suggest. Carpet bombing does not work, US authorities should remember that should they?

  3. Disagree somewhat. Putin not debasing himself to the level of neocons in the U.S. and globalists in Europe is leadership by example. Gorbachev tried to do that as well, but the difference is that Putin is backing up his patience with the lunatics by laying waste to the military threat in Ukraine. Putin walks softly but carries a big stick. In the longer term, he is providing a mulit-year lesson in patience to the weak, shrill WEF puppets in Europe. Notably Macron, Merz, Starmer, Von der Leyen as well as the neocons in the U.S. Senate.
