News Flash:  Houthis attack underwater communications cables in the Red Sea

The main damage is felt in the countries of the Persian Gulf and India, according to Ura.ru per a message of the newspaper Globe to Vzglyad.ru

In this material it is noted that repairs to the cables will take at least eight weeks – Vechernaya Moskva.

I would wager a guess that the technical and material support for this Houthi attack comes from Russia which is now finally via proxy war beginning to take its revenge on Western powers for the infrastructure terrorism they practiced in bombing the Nord Stream I pipelines.

  2. I would doubt that the Russians helped them, it makes no sense. RF does a lot of business with the Gulf countries and India so why cutting connections to that part of the world. If they wanted to target Western internet connectivity, it would be more logical to do something in the Atlantic.

    2. This is merely a shot across the bows. The Russians move with deliberation. The message: What can be cut in the Red Sea can, in the future, also be terminated in the Atlantic AND the Pacific.

      Let’s see how Wall Street and the City Of London enjoy global trading without any high speed internet connections.

  4. As far as I know, the Houthi have officially denied; something they have not been prone to.
    Reports of the actual amount of disruption also does not go beyond rumor.

    Would be an interesting asymmetrical response to possible Indian artillery shells.
