    1. It looks to me like the only plausible strategy is that they are waiting to accept Zelensky/the west’s exact offer- only the frontlines will be frozen once all of Donetsk is liberated instead of the current line.

In the meantime ukrainian or western strikes will continue ( now it seems every 2 days a deadly attack on mainland Russia) on Russian hydrocarbons and chemical industries and now with Wildberries,on their major civilian business, together with the purely terror attacks and assassinations along with the soldiers on the frontline.

And once that is stopped, the west will tie every bit of business they do with Russia into a percentage that goes into Ukraine’s military and infrastructure buildup

Pisspoor from Putin. The west has played a blinder here and made Ukraine part of NATO unofficially, while not giving them the official status has shielded NATO from the threat of nuclear retaliation. So NATO is hitting Russia at will, knowing Russia has given up on or simply can’t retaliate in any meaningful non-nuclear way

  1. 12 dead and 39 injured in drone strike on Nizhnekamsk,Tatarstan this morning.

Rinse and repeat then with commentary from last week about the Gelendzhik terrorist attack, though today’s is an entirely “legitimate”target.

Putin is going to use his rather sterile line of “they are trying to split Russian society “

United Russia is fielding something like 100 candidates who are vets of the Special Military Operation. Quite a smart strategy to try and deflect from what should be severe domestic pressure from society on Putin, and therefore by association “his” political party at the upcoming Duma elections.
